Introducing the winner of our Sherene Melinda Handbag anniversary competition

Competition time is a treasured experience here at SHERENE MELINDA. The response we have received from both entrants and the winner is heartwarming. This time around, the competition meant a great deal to us as we were celebrating our one year anniversary. This competition was our way of saying thank you to all of you who have contributed to the development of our brand since it was launched publicly on April 1^st 2014.

It is the second time we have held a competition specifically to win one of our Haupt Bags. The competition ran for just over 3 weeks and included entries by email, social media and of course throughout the Ideal Home Show. There were numerous entries and although we could only pick one winner, we want to thank everyone who took the time to enter. This competition’s lucky winner was a lady named Shannon from Warwickshire; here’s what she had to say about her win.

Congratulations and thank you for entering Shannon, what’s your favourite thing about your new handbag?

‘My favourite thing is all of it! It’s all so gorgeous but I think the fan makes it extra special’.

We are glad to hear she’s a fan of the fan! It is a feature that is truly unique to our handbags.

How did you hear about the competition?

‘I was visiting the Ideal Home Show and stopped at your stand to admire the bags and all their beautiful colours and shapes. I filled in my name not giving it a second thought that I might actually win. When I got your email I didn’t believe it at first until I clicked on the link and then I realised it's true!’

We were glad to hear that our Ideal Home stand and the handbags were attention grabbing! It’s clear that Shannon’s experience gives weight to the expression ‘you have to be in it to win it’. Sometimes it’s easy to put off the task of entering a competition because you think you won’t win but somebody always has to!

What colour Haupt Bag did you choose and why?

‘I found it incredibly hard to choose a colour as they are all gorgeous but I chose the rose for its intensity as I love colour.’

We agree that the rose pink is a beautiful colour and it’s also perfect for the summer as well!

Do you have any upcoming events you are planning on wearing it to?

‘I haven’t had much opportunity to go out at the moment as I am very busy but I look forward to wearing the bag for many special occasions in the future.’

We’ve heard from Shannon that she recently had a work party and wore her new bag for the evening. We hope you had a great time and that people loved your new bag as much as you do!

How does your new handbag compare with others in your wardrobe?

‘I only had one special bag in my wardrobe, which is Vivienne Westwood; all the others are from the high street. It’s funny because my Vivienne Westwood bag was a 40^th birthday gift and on my 41^st birthday I visited London, which is where I entered the competition and eventually won your bag! For my next birthday maybe I will have to treat myself to another one’.

We were happy to hear that we could make Shannon’s birthday even more special!

How does the quality of your Haupt Bag compare with others in your wardrobe?

‘The quality is very much above and beyond my Vivienne Westwood bag. The detail is amazing; the springbok hair-on-hide, the imprint of your brand and the softness of the leather. I love the silver coloured chain and leather straps and the packaging was delightful.’

Shannon’s comments echo what others have said about how the quality of our handbags is very high.

What has the response been to your new handbag?

‘The response has been amazing. I’ve told all my clients (I'm a hairdresser). I'm just truly delighted with it and cannot wait to wear it on Thursday night (Shannon’s work party)’.
