The news gets more exciting as Summer passes by; in the lead up to Africa Fashion Week London this coming August (7th - 8th), SHERENE MELINDA has been lucky enough to gain some welcome exposure from one of the biggest fashion magazines in the world. Dating back to 1945, when the magazine was first launched in France, Elle magazine now has a global reach of 43 international editions across 60 countries.
Rather aptly, Elle South Africa chose to do a piece on the upcoming Africa Fashion Week, taking place here in London. From the collection of African and African inspired designers that will be on display two weeks from now, Elle picked their favourite 10. We were delighted to find out that Elle South Africa had chosen us as, in their own words, 'a designer to be on your fashion radar'.
Here’s what Elle had to say:
‘South African-born Sherene Melinda’s collection of handbags represents the ingenuity of her native country with a distinctly London vibe. Her springbok hair-on-hide purses come in a wide range of sizes, styles, and colours.’
We are proud to have this recognition from a prestigious fashion magazine such as Elle and eagerly anticipate the start of Africa Fashion Week London. With a place on Saturday’s 1pm Catwalk Show and an exhibitor’s stand for the whole two days, the opportunities for a grand variety of people to meet our brand for the first time is endless!
We wish to extend the invitation to visit Africa Fashion Week London, where you can experience a range of African and African inspired designers, tasty food, celebrities, and of course plenty of fantastic fashion for you to get your hands on. Thank you to Africa Fashion Week London and Elle Magazine for offering us such a prestigious and grand platform to showcase our handbags.
Glorious love has been a part of SHERENE MELINDA right from its inception. Whilst a beautiful physical gift 👜👟 is no doubt appreciated, this is not the only way to give and receive love. ❤️ The "languages of love" concept was popularized by Dr. Gary Chapman in his book "The Five Love Languages". Here he talks about five love languages.
