Some super summer news!

We recently had the pleasure of announcing some of our summer plans to you. With that in mind, we thought it would be exciting to let you know that we will again be exhibiting at the Spirit of Summer Fair at London Olympia. The Fair will take place alongside the House and Garden Show on the 17th to the 20th of June.

From then to now

This will be our second visit to The Spirit of Summer Fair and our fourth time exhibiting at a show at the prestigious location of London Olympia. Thinking back to last years show offered us a great opportunity to reflect on how far we have come. This time last year, we had just introduced our brand publically online, and the show represented the chance to do the same offline.

Since then, we have exhibited at two more shows, had our handbags featured in Tatler, British Vogue and the Mail on Sunday, have increased the development of our social media presence and website, and also released another new style.

Another opportunity to meet the bags

A few weeks ago, we discussed our experiences at the Ideal Home Show and how vital it was for us to bring our product in to the hands of customers. Putting our handbags on display and giving customers the chance to touch them and try them on is a great way of securing both treasured feedback and business.

We would like to encourage you to come join us between the 17th and 20th June. If you've had your eye on a handbag for some time and were looking to get a closer look, then The Spirit of Summer Fair will be a good time to come down and see our bags in person. If you've seen our stand at any other exhibitions and want to come meet us again, then please do! Or if you have never heard of The Spirit of Summer Fair then pay a visit to see not only our springbok handbags but a great range of unique boutique products.

Today we sent off some questions to our lucky competition winner and will shortly be introducing you to her, the bag she picked, and her thoughts on winning.

Our handbags are made using leather both inside and out. We use nappa leather on the outside and the handbags are lined with an ecofriendly (using no harmful chemicals or dyes) natural pigskin leather in the inside. This helps to make our bags incredibly soft and luxurious but also durable and longlasting.

For our signature feature that we have become known for we use genuine Springbok hair-on-hide leather. The ethical source of the materials is very important to us. Springbok are classified as non-cites (which means there is no threat to the survival of the species) and the animals live freely in abundance in South Africa. The sustainability of the species is carefully managed and the population is culled to keep the ecosystem in balance. The local food industry benefits from this and the by-products are also utilised in decorative ways in interiors, furniture and fashion.

All our leathers are a by-product of the food-industry.

We use only high quality YKK zips and silver-coloured metal chains, studs and handbag hardware.

All our handbags are offered with a white cotton dustbag to keep them clean.
