SHERENE MELINDA’s latest international trip was to the British Fashion Event in Bilbao.
Famous for the iridescent titanium shell of the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao is also world renowned for food, the city has a great industrial heritage and an urban upbeat ambience.
This two-day event was expertly organised by the British Consulate (Department of International Trade) to showcase the creativity of 10 emerging British designers. Open to both trade and public, the prestigious event was supported on both days by the British Ambassador to Spain, Simon Manley CMG as well as the Mayor of Bilbao, Ibon Areso. The trade event was held at Bilbao's magnificent office of tourism.
Whilst the public viewed the collection at El Corte Ingles (The English Cut), is a renowned department store throughout Spain, its history dates back to the 1930s.
Accompanied by the Bilbao's Mayor, the British Ambassador to Spain gives his opening speech at the Office of Tourism:
We received a wonderful response to the new collection from both trade and public in Bilbao and this added to the positive reactions at our other international events this year in Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris and Shanghai.

Glorious love has been a part of SHERENE MELINDA right from its inception. Whilst a beautiful physical gift 👜👟 is no doubt appreciated, this is not the only way to give and receive love. ❤️ The "languages of love" concept was popularized by Dr. Gary Chapman in his book "The Five Love Languages". Here he talks about five love languages.
