Last summer we were lucky enough to experience the beauty of Calala Island. A tiny idyllic private island in the Caribbean. It was an adventurous experience, an 8 seater plane journey from the capital of Nicargua Managua to Bluefields on the east coast. From there a two hour exhilirating speedboat ride through the mangroves before reaching one of the most special places on earth.
The Telegraph review gave it a 9/10 and that is no surprise.

Earlier this year I was inspired to create a leather tote bag which was different to the typical style handbag that I normally create. Generally, SHERENE MELINDA’S handbags focus on the hair-on-hide feature. However, in this case I wanted to create an extra-large soft and versatile shopping bag using some beautiful, glazed leather.
