The Sherene Melinda Smith Tote Bag has a perfectly elegant shape.

The Smith Bag has a detachable and adjustable strap which means it can be used as a Top Handle Bag (with secure fasteners on the sides) as well as a shoulder bag or a crossbody bag. Big enough for a book, kindle or even an iPad and great for the work commute or just around town; With plenty of space, compartments and features to  organise the everyday essentials. Available in a wide range of colour options including both bright and neutral tones.     Hair-on-hide Handbag Materials

    Our handbags are made using leather both inside and out. We use nappa leather on the outside and the handbags are lined with an ecofriendly (using no harmful chemicals or dyes) natural leather on the inside. This helps to make our bags incredibly soft and luxurious but also durable and longlasting.

    For our signature feature that we have become known for we use genuine Springbok hair-on-hide leather. The ethical source of the materials is very important to us. Springbok are classified as non-cites (which means there is no threat to the survival of the species) and the animals live freely in abundance in South Africa. The sustainability of the species is carefully managed and the population is culled to keep the ecosystem in balance. The local food industry benefits from this and the by-products are also utilised in decorative ways in interiors, furniture and fashion.

    All our leathers are a by-product of the food-industry.

    We use only high quality YKK zips and silver-coloured metal chains, studs and handbag hardware.

    All our handbags are offered with a white cotton dustbag to keep them clean.

    I have a yellow haupt with a fan and I adore it. Beautiful presented boxed with cloth dust bag. The quality of the leather and finish is equal if not superior to many designer bags (& I have many!!). Perfect for day and night. I will definitely be investing in another one. I always get complimented when I wear it, more than any of my other bags. It's a statement piece. Thank you

    Insanely good

    I spotted SM at Badminton and couldn't stop thinking about the bag all day so I went and bought it at the end of the day. The craftsmanship is insanely good, and I love the colour of the skins. Can't wait to save up and get one in the clutch style too.
