SHERENE MELINDA is an independent London-based designer handbag brand that launched their first range of handbags in early 2014. The company is one of many who are increasingly realising the potential of marketing a business online and communicating with their target audience through the use of social media.
The company director Sherene M. Robson, is originally from South Africa but has spent the majority of her adult life in London. As chief designer, her heritage is apparent in the handbags, which feature springbok hair-on-hide, a tribute to her country of birth. The springbok hair-on-hide is soft and is real hair which makes it durable and easy to clean, this being just one of the many great features about her bags.
Having only been established for a short while, SHERENE MELINDA has already released 3 styles; including an oversized clutch bag, an adjustable leather tote bag, and a leather crossbody bag; all featuring springbok hair-on-hide in a variety of colours. The colours of the springbok hair are rich with multiple tones, which is what makes these bags unique because their colour easily compliments the other elements of your oufit.
SHERENE MELINDA is now launching its latest style the Haupt Bag at London’s Spirit of Christmas Fair this November. The name, Haupt, is part of Sherene's family name and in German translates to top of the hierarchy or main, which the designer believes is an accurate description of what her newest style represents. She believes that above all, the Haupt Bag is versatile, and gives customers the freedom to choose how they wear their bag and what style they choose to adopt. This is why she considers it to be the ‘main bag’ since it is the handbag that is appropriate for every occasion and setting.
The Haupt Bag is based loosely on one of their previous styles: the oversized clutch bag. Their oversized clutch bag is big enough to fit an A4 book or a tablet, and it is also stylish and appropriate for wearing out in the evening.
The design of the Haupt Bag takes this idea one step further and includes two detachable straps, the first made of leather, and the other a silver coloured chain. Both of these straps may be attached to the bag, either one may be attached, or neither may be attached. This allows the bag to be worn in numerous ways, including over the shoulder, around the wrist, across the body, or just as a clutch bag.
In addition to all these great features, the bag is made with high quality materials including glazed Italian leather, black pig skin leather, springbok hair-on-hide, and YKK zips. The Haupt Bag by SHERENE MELINDA is stunning, versatile, stylish and high quality.
