Vote for SHERENE MELINDA BEFFTA Nomination: Best Female Fashion Designer

October 20, 2015

Sherene Melinda (Designer) - Natural Sophy Clutch Handbag

SHERENE MELINDA has been nominated for a 7th Annual BEFFTA (Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts) Award for Best Female Fashion Designer 2015! Sherene was feeling humbled as she received the message last night and began to comprehend this exciting news. We are so grateful for all the support we’ve been given by you, our loyal fans and customers, over the past 18-months and now we must ask for your help as the award is decided by public vote.

The BEFFTA is an annual celebration honouring the best showbiz and entertainment personalities in the black and ethnic communities of the UK, USA, Africa, Carribean, Canada and elsewhere worldwide. The BEFFTA was founded by Pauline Long, who has a passion for promoting the hardwork of individuals in the entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts industries who she feel deserves more exposure. She wanted to encourage them to continue pursuing achievements in their respective industries and therefore established the BEFFTA.

Please go to and enter your name and email. Select the category: Best Female Fashion Designer and select us as your winner. You may know us well enough by now that you can vote for us, but if not, here’s a brief summary of our achievements to date.

Creative director Sherene Robson has combined her South African heritage with her London-life to craft a fusion of distinctive and luxurious handbags that have proved widely popular with keen-eyed customers worldwide. Having made our first sale just 18 short months ago, we and the handbags have since then already graced the pages of the British Vogue, Elle South Africa and Tatler magazines; and have exhibited at retail and trade shows across the UK, including Pure London. Preceded by a well-received appearance from Sherene Robson on the Pauline Long Show, we recently showcased at Africa Fashion Week London, where we were awarded the prize for Best Looking Stand and left a lasting impact on the audience following a stunning Catwalk Show.

SHERENE MELINDA has developed a unique range of handbags that people are passionate about. Sherene has used her South-African heritage to inspire and create fashion design that makes a statement and reflects the inner vibrancy of every individual.

The prestigious red carpet awards ceremony takes place at London's Cental Hall Westminster on the 31st October and the award will be presented by Hon Zac Goldsmith MP for Richmond and London Mayor candidate.

Please take the time to vote for us, and share the news and links with others who may wish to do the same. Of course we would love to win this award and every one of your votes count!

Thank you for your support.
