One of the most exciting times in the launch of a new collection is introducing the handbags for the first time. A few weeks ago, we treated you to the first real glimpse of the Ella Tote bag in this blog, and now it’s time to do the same for the Sophy Clutch; completing the arrival of the SHERENE MELINDA AW15 collection.
Inspiration
The Sophy Clutch was designed with the intention of creating an eveningwear handbag that could also still compliment a daytime outfit. The handbag has firstly filled a gap in the SHERENE MELINDA range, by offering a smaller sized bag that is the perfect accompaniment to a night out. This idea has been implemented further by adopting simplicity for you and safety for your possessions. Combining a magnetic snap-shut and zip closure with an additional inside zipped pocket and keyring attachment, the inside of the bag has been thoughtfully designed to give you quick and easy access to essential items wherever you are.
Secondly, we have added a detachable silver-coloured chain shoulder strap so that the clutch bag may also be worn over the shoulder rather than being positioned under your arm or clutched in your hand as you carry out your daily errands. The colour and the quality of the chain also easily compliments an evening outfit.
Look a little closer
Similar to the Ella Tote bag, the Sophy Clutch uses a type of leather new to the SHERENE MELINDA range. The inside is fully lined with silky smooth pig skin leather, which has not been dyed or treated using any artificial chemicals. As mentioned previously, it also includes a separate internal zipped pocket and keyring attachment. The softness of this luxurious leather is the perfect addition to the authentic springbok hair-on-hide, which is equally as appealing to the touch.
Spoilt for attention
The Sophy Clutch has only just been released online and already it’s drawing the eyes and ears of some top bloggers, influencers and celebrities. Nyané recently decorated the artistic and stylish wall of her fashion-driven Instagram account with a natural Sophy Clutch, to the tune of almost 10,000 likes.
Equally, through launching the Sophy Clutch at The Spirit of Christmas Fair, the Country Living Christmas Fair and later next week the Ultimate Christmas Fair, we have received countless compliments and a positive appreciation for the design of this handbag from excited customers and passers-by. We are happy with the reaction so far, and being only a short step in to the release of the newest collection, we are looking forward to seeing where its future takes us.
