Described by Creative Director Sherene as 'the world's most perfect working space' the landmark Starrett Lehigh Building, in New York's Chelsea neighbourhood was the setting for yet another successful international show for SHERENE MELINDA.
D&A prides itself on bringing designers and agents together from all over the world and featuring brands that are influencers in the advanced contemporary market.
For those who know NYC well, Chelsea is a favourite destination. A hub for contemporary art juxtaposed with the industrial architecture of the neighbourhood's past. The contrast between old and new is perfectly summed up by the High Line, an elevated disused railway line that has been transformed into a verdant promenade, winding through the light and shadow created by the muscular monolithic buildings.
Chelsea's eclectic mix of art, architecture, people and verdant spaces are familiar inspirational themes for SHERENE MELINDA and provided an ideal location to present their New Collection to NYC and the World.

SHERENE MELINDA has expanded its luxury offerings beyond handbags to include leather trainers. Sherene has spent a long time designing these sneakers to ensure they are of the highest standard and the most luxurious quality. Each trainer is carefully handcrafted from leather suede on the exterior and is fully leather lined inside. SHERENE MELINDA’s signature Springbok hair-on-hide is also featured down the side of the trainer, making each trainer unique. The hair-on-hide is available in a range of neutral tones, as well as a variety of vibrant colourful tones. The trainers are also extremely lightweight, making them a comfortable go-to pair of shoes, perfect for everyday use or special occasions. Every trainer is handcrafted with utmost care to ensure the result is the epitome of luxury.
Earlier this year I was inspired to create a leather tote bag which was different to the typical style handbag that I normally create. Generally, SHERENE MELINDA’S handbags focus on the hair-on-hide feature. However, in this case I wanted to create an extra-large soft and versatile shopping bag using some beautiful, glazed leather.
