We recently had the pleasure of announcing some of our summer plans to you. With that in mind, we thought it would be exciting to let you know that we will again be exhibiting at the Spirit of Summer Fair at London Olympia. The Fair will take place alongside the House and Garden Show on the 17th to the 20th of June.
From then to now
This will be our second visit to The Spirit of Summer Fair and our fourth time exhibiting at a show at the prestigious location of London Olympia. Thinking back to last years show offered us a great opportunity to reflect on how far we have come. This time last year, we had just introduced our brand publically online, and the show represented the chance to do the same offline.
Since then, we have exhibited at two more shows, had our handbags featured in Tatler, British Vogue and the Mail on Sunday, have increased the development of our social media presence and website, and also released another new style.
Another opportunity to meet the bags
A few weeks ago, we discussed our experiences at the Ideal Home Show and how vital it was for us to bring our product in to the hands of customers. Putting our handbags on display and giving customers the chance to touch them and try them on is a great way of securing both treasured feedback and business.
We would like to encourage you to come join us between the 17th and 20th June. If you've had your eye on a handbag for some time and were looking to get a closer look, then The Spirit of Summer Fair will be a good time to come down and see our bags in person. If you've seen our stand at any other exhibitions and want to come meet us again, then please do! With temperatures reaching 24 degrees yesterday, not only did it feel like spring was in the air but perhaps even the early signs of summer had arrived. As the heat rises in London, parks and pubs become packed with budding sun seekers eager to soak up the rays after six months of deprivation. Essentially, the buzzing atmosphere of London’s city centre yesterday was a beacon of inspiration for millions of its ambitious inhabitants; including us!
What do we have planned for the Spring/Summer Season?
Seasons act as the eternal link between fashion and nature; as both seasons and fashion change simultaneously like the setting of the sun and the rise of the moon. Fashion will always be likened to seasons and affected by its recurring transformation. As winter changes to spring, the warmer colours retire to the wardrobe for a period of hibernation, and the bright colours begin making their appearance to both shelves and outfits across the country.
With a range of fantastically vibrant springbok handbags behind us, we look forward to celebrating the summer season. Powered by the vitality of the welcome sunlight, the flower of SHERENE MELINDA can now fully bloom this summer; a season of growing both our brand and collection.
How will we be growing our brand?
With the Ideal Home Show over, the hard work doesn’t end here. The Home Show was just one opportunity of securing a new audience and more exposure for our brand. Spring and summer spells a period of networking, PR and marketing to help SHERENE MELINDA grow and secure a bigger interest.
How will we be growing our collection?
We have already have plans in place for some new additions to our collection. Although we cannot reveal very much at this point, perhaps this news will offer you something to look forward to. The last 6 days have been filled with anticipation for our one year anniversary; and hard work as we’ve been exhibiting at the Ideal Home Show in London Olympia. We hope that you have been following our countdown on Facebook and Twitter, and that you share our excitement in reaching the one-year milestone.
Halfway through
The 6th day in our countdown represents the 6th month in the yearlong life of SHERENE MELINDA and the halfway point in our countdown. As you have probably guessed by now, we are filled with joy at the prospect of reaching the one-year mark! This day also marks the halfway point in the race to win one of our Haupt Bags!

The Ideal Home Show
You may or may not know that since Friday 20th we have been exhibiting at the Ideal Home Show at London Olympia. We have already savoured the chance of exhibiting at this famous arena during the Spirit of Christmas Fair in November; but it’s different this time!
We are now located at stand B522 which is on the opposite side of the venue, but still on the balcony looking over the glorious scenes below. This year we are part of the fashion and beauty section, which is buzzing with all sorts of different stands ranging from children’s clothing to skin care products.
One thing that has not changed since the Spirit of Christmas Fair is the excited chatter and eager footsteps of the many happy shoppers at London Olympia. We have loved talking to them and seeing their reaction to our range of handbags. Many, along with the show’s organisers, have commented on how unique and distinctive the handbags are; how they are not something they were expecting to see and that they are a welcome surprise!
We are glad that we have something new and interesting to offer people at the Ideal Home Show; and although the past few days have been a lot of hard work (spent mostly on our feet) we are very happy to be here!
We will be exhibiting until the 6th April so if you haven’t already please come and visit us to show your support and see our stunning handbags in person. We are at stand B522 which is located on the Upper Balcony in the Fashion and Beauty section.
